New Sanitary Blocks

New innovative structure, low environmental impact

The new toilet facilities being built at the Camping Europa satisfy the practical need to renovate the existing buildings while at the same time greatly improving the service offered. To achieve this, we have increased the size of both the toilet and shower cubicles. We have also added cubicles with a basin and created bookable private rooms for families complete with every comfort to make every guest feel at home.

The innovations include a communal living area with meticulous attention paid to both the architecture and comforts and more entrances to the toilet facilities, each with a gently sloping ramp to facilitate access for disabled guests. The nursery is separate from the adult toilet facilities, but leads off the living area to make it easy for parents to keep an eye on their children.

To improve the energy efficiency of the structure, we exploit the energy provided by the photovoltaic glass incorporated throughout the transparent roof, letting in the sun to light the area while generating energy. The domestic hot water and some parts of the toilet facilities are heated with solar thermal energy. Together with rainwater, part of the grey water from the washing facilities, suitably treated, is used to flush the toilets and for irrigation, reducing use of drinking water to a minimum.
